Anybody into fighting games should check this out.
I personally plan on putting in at least 20 dollars but I’d like to be able to go for 50
I’m the only one of my friends who isn’t suprised at all that Pokken is in evo this year. Like I thought that was pretty obviously happening.
also I’m the only one who really likes Killer Instinct, so theres that.
bitch you THOUGHT
why did he stop zoning?
i actually shouted at this clip, WHY THE HECK DID YOU STOP!
Small bit of fighting game advice.
Just in case someone reading this hadn’t thought of it before. If you see a player in a video do a cool combo and you want to try to copy it, you can use the slowing down features on you tube to help you note each input of the combo.
Another thing on Rising Thunder.
I know this beta is online only (or thats what I’ve been told), but I don’t like not seeing the oponents meter. As far as I can tell the only things you can do with that meter is cancels and super but still. I also think you should be able to see the opponent’s cool downs.
It just seems like a really strange denial of information for a fighting game.
Fighting game advice no one asked for #1:
if you’re going to grind the training room please and I really mean it please have a goal planned out before hand otherwise you’re most likely just wasting your time since you’re just doing stuff without any kind of direction, think of stuff you don’t know about enough or that caused you trouble in the past, “how can I punish this with my character?” “is it worth it to use X mechanic against Y attack?” see your own combos and tech and think, “can I setup something after that?” “is there a reset point here that I don’t know about?” “if my opponent blocks this what are my options?”
Also use your training mode options to the best ability you can, I know some training rooms can be very bare bones but others like Guilty Gear’s, Blazblue’s and Skullgirl’s give you a lot of options that help you a lot more than you would think of.
Believe me when I say your training sessions will be a lot more valuable and will end up giving more results when you start doing this.
