hello kitty is obviously designed after a cat but she’s meant to represent a little girl
this actually makes perfect sense to me cos I always wondered why she had a pet cat (charmmy kitty) that actually looked and acted like a real cat

Its more like she’s a cat-person, but is not a cat. Theres a difference here.
