So I finally finished Season 3 of littlest pet shop and I have some (really freaking late) thoughts.

As of the groundhog day episode Fuck it, LPS is magic. Shits just fucking magic. The store is magic, Sunil is magic, Blythe is magic, Sugar Sprinkles is magic and I question whether she is even a real cat or just made of magic. Also I don’t blame Russel for hating the shit out of groundhog the first time, and the other pets not believing their friend that they know is smart.

Petfest is somehow felt considerably lower stakes than the last two seas finales and even if stakes isn’t the measure of a grand finale it was just kinda boring and every problem was solved surprisingly fast with little effort while Zoey acts pettier than normal. The Mid Season finale with youngmee was considerably more dramatic. While it would have delayed a couple episodes to having to be in the next season, that would have been way better as a season finale.

But the real thing that frustrates me is that Blythes ability to talk to animals is brought into question twice. Its like the show is teasing me with it. One of the episodes key moments is the pets actually asking “wait a second, why does Blythe understand us” and despite being the major question of the episode its of just “lol I dunno, but we’re friends” at the end. Of course I don’t expect any of the characters to know why. I don’t expect an answer from them cause there’s no reason Blythe or Twombly or any of the pets would know, but I thought they were at least going to treat the question seriously since they brought it up.

I don’t care about why Blythe can talk to animals until the question is brought up. I’ll stop getting upset about there not having an answer if they don’t bring up the question.

Just as Josh Sharp is getting  to be somewhat kind of maybe interesting they stop including him in episodes again so that sort of falls on it ass. Twins get pets, then kinda just dissapaer except for the worlds briefest cameo of a chinchilla in the finale, but in that case MLP got me used to things getting introduced in one season, but won’t be used until next season (or the finale).

I actually like the season more than I’m letting on, but its one of those shows where when stuff is working not much to say, but when stuff is wrong its ehhhh.
