This episode was really nice.

I like these sort of 100% slice of life episode with minimal drama and conflict. Just a simple day in the life of a small horse

This “its edgey and therefore its bad and deserves to be mocked” mentality is getting very very irksome by this point.

While I know things that live shorter than us grow into adults much faster I’ve never felt too convinced that something that lives longer than us ages slower.

Like the idea that something that lives to say …. 200 is a teenager until their 50 or something. I’m not feeling it. The thing that really gets me about this is that this is usually portrayed by having the “teenager” still act like a human teenager would despite being 45.

Its hard to buy when there’s humans or things that act like humans around.

I prerer for every race to have access to every class unless theires physical reasons. Like only angels can be a valkry because it revolves around having wings and angels are the only ones with wings.

I know a lot of games have lore reasons or its just “this race is small and weak so they don’t do that” but I think making whole race limited like that may often prevent the player from doing what they want to do. Like be the smile tiny race but wield a hammer several times their size meant for other races. Then theres the only X race can commune with the spirits thus only they can be a druid. Which again is neat in writing but limiting to player choice.

Now I’m sure theres some people who think these sort of lore limitations are good for the world and game universe and they’re probably right. But as a player I find that the difference between race and whats available (or a good choice based on the races stats) often goes against what I as a player want to do. Does it make sense fir the big sneaky stealthy orc? On paper no, but I wanna be one and not suffer for it dammit!

I’m realizing I might have a writing thing for children that murder. In all the different story ideas I’ve come up with the ones that involved the most blatant death was the ones where someone who’s probably no older than 13 is doing all the killing.

Even in the story where almost no one dies the one death I did plan is done by an 8 year old.
