So are there any neutral stages in Smash 4 3DS besides Final Destination and battlefield? Like, stages without something intrusive.

IT LIIIIVES!

Whew! I was with no shortage of trembles that I clicked the launch button today. We now begin the 30 (29!) day hot-seat. Those of you watching, PLEASE LEND YOUR SUPPORT! Even if you don’t contribute monetarily, a re-blog can make all the difference! Lets try and get the word out to anyone and everyone who might be interested. Thank you all for your help, and keep your eyes open, there’s more content to come!

Here’s the link, in case you missed it up top:

Hey folks, I could really use your help with this one. This is the largest solo project I’ve ever done, and its turning out lovely, but it needs your support to get to completion. Even if you cant toss a buck, toss a reblog? help me get the word out!

Rebloging it to give a hand to my buddy Sev!

If you can go toss him your support right now. Indie projects are always hard getting off the ground, so if you can’t donate at least give this a reblog.

Thanks guys!

So you mean like in fighting game stages where if a character is being used something else takes their place in the background.

Like how Balrog is usually in the background of the small airfield in Street fighter 4, but if one of you are playing Balrog then Vega will be there instead. And if Vega and Balrog are fighting it will be Bison.

Just checking to make sure I understand what you’re saying.

A drawing I’ve been working on in between stuff for my ask-blog and stuff I owe people.

So I had a thought

You guys all know that game, Super Robot Wars, where dozens of characters and robots from different real robot and super robot anime come together for a big RPG. They have a whole bunch of cross series dioulougs and interactions and big ol animated attacks with tons a lines and stuff.

Okay. Imagine that, but with Magical Girls. Super Magical Girl Wars. An RPG crossover of a whole bunch of different magical girl shows. From super idealistic magical girls to realistic ones to the more cynical and bloody ones. Just all sorts of magical girls all teamed up for one huge fan pleasing rpg.

I know I’m not the first to say something like this. But I just want you all to think about it, and imagine it.

je-suis-cocopuff-deactivated201 asked: Chai, I see you defending the new 3DS from a technical standpoint. And that's all good but, what about from a consumer/economical standpoint and the fact that it's sort of a desperate measure taken by Nintendo in the heat of a financial crisis?

team-reverie:

See now, this is a logical argument that I can understand. The one thought I had on the cost was from Nintendo’s standpoint, actually. Will Nintendo actually be able to sell enough of these units to make it in the green?

Because consumers don’t need the new 3ds. It’s a nice upgrade, and it’s a good thing. But they don’t need to get it, because 95% of all the games for it will work on the normal 3ds anyway. Maybe they’ll do some sort of trade in thing, trade in your ds and get some amount off the new one, in order to increase sales. But I do wonder what Nintendo’s tact is.

That actually is a pretty good point.

I think they probably will do that trade in thing. If I recall correctly they had that back when the DSI came out though I don’t remember that clearly.

Though whats also possible that among those games that will only be on New3DS is likely some sort of “KillerApp” that they believe can convince people to drop their 3DS for a New 3DS. Though i have no idea what that would be. Its to early for another pokemon gen (I think) and ORAS, and Smash are already coming out on the 3DS. Both of those would probably be the most compelling as far as people buying new consoles. I don’t think Mario, Link or any of Nintendo’s other IPs could really pull it off except maybe a new Mario Kart specifically.

kadoomthemoogle asked: Donnnnn't forget that the upgraded 3ds is gonna have a pretty trash install base for quite a while and end up without much 3rd party support (eg: the Wii U)

team-reverie:

I don’t fully understand what you’re getting at with this, by install base and whatnot. It still has all the same games but with like a handful of exclusives at best, due to hardware of the new console. I don’t understand how suddenly it ends up with no 3rd party support when the pool didn’t change, it only expanded
