oh my god oH my god OH MY GOD fuckin christ oh my god masculinity is so fragile oh my god
“wow i like that sweater you’re knitting” “IT’S NOT A SWEATER IT’S A BRO COZY CAN’T YOU SEE I’M A MAN??”
Do you guys no how much shit a man would get from men AND women for straight up knitting something? Hell. They made that a joke in the movie: Demolition Man. For fuck’s sake. A guy can’t do something like that without losing a lot of respect, he doesn’t have a fucking choice, that is just how society will perceive him. His masculinity isn’t fragile because he makes it that way. It is fragile because that is how society sees his masculinity. If guys didn’t have to care what other people thought of them, and if there were no repercussions for knitting, they probably would knit more. But there are repercussions for that. Fuck. I was afraid of having a sewing kit in my dorm room because I KNEW people would mock me for it. Someone that looks like a guy and isn’t out as gay can’t own that kind of shit without being the laughing stock of everyone around them, unless they get rid of all of that fucking gender enforcing thoughts that have been ingrained in them since birth.
Thank you.
The exact thing you describe happened to a friend of mine at college a few weeks ago. We were on lunch break and he was sitting knitting while basically everyone else had their phones out playing candy crush or whatever. Anyway a couple of people stared at him, one of the younger girls asked him what he was doing (she is 17 and apparently has never seen anyone knitting before and didn’t know what it was - astounding I know!) and someone outright stated ‘knitting isn’t very manly you know’. And then later on a couple of people came to me (because they know I am friends with him) and asked me if he is gay - purely on the basis that he was knitting and that isn’t ‘masculine’ and that therefore he must be gay - because obviously they are ignorant enough to think that if a bloke does something that’s not traditionally masculine then he must automatically be gay. Idiots. I of course chastised them in my normal manner and left them with no doubt of my opinion :)
This shit is literally the entire character arc of Kanji Tatsumi.
She was originally called the Mana of devouring, but I got “manas” straight from a game. Trying to come up with an original name for it, and I’m not sure how I feel about “ilu”

Finally finished it. Its supposed to be sort of like a movie poster type design. Though I didn’t make it the dimensions for that sort of thing.
I can’t wait for this game to come out.
Do people reblogging that Mr.Truffles and Ms.Officer post with that with that whole “those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it” quote, even realize what the post is saying.
Its like actively trying to SHUT DOWN someone’s support and potential to get something off the ground. Like maybe you think its just a joke or whatever, but its really just the shittiest thing to do! Like imagine if you had this comic or something that was gaining a lot of groundswell to make something bigger out if it. And you were feeling real good about it like “Yeah, maybe I can make a game to this comic” and then all a sudden people came out like “No, guys. Its not worth it. He’ll fuck up, remember last time with that entirely different person”. Its just real shitty, and this particular thing gets to me.

I just saw someone’s porn of an Opossum.
NOW I get why people in Poppy call her Clock Belly.
