Wow.
I think this might be the first time I can remember where a new episode came out for something and I’m the one left unimpressed while everyone else likes it.
This is different. I’m not used to this feeling.
In today’s episode Luna learns to accept her shadow and gains the power of Persona.
I honestly think theres room in the world for “non games” like Her Story, Dear Esther and other “walking simulators” or whatever people call these things to dismiss them.
Like I’d play Bayonetta or something really twitchy over them any day, but I think they still have plenty of value as media and that some of them are genuinely interesting or at least really interesting to walk around like Proteus.
I don’t really get the idea of having to choice a side and that these “non-games” are all boring trash. Cause there’s plenty of people who do find these things genuinely interesting.
I was prompted to say this cause I was watching Super Best Friends play Her Story. Matt and Woolie are genuinely giving the game a chance and trying to play it and think it out. While almost none of the comments give the game any level of respect. Also a lot of people I follow are very “games need to be games” less cutsceney or dialouge based. And I don’t agree with that as much like more game play based games I find it hard to believe they are the better games that all games should be more like when so may people are invested into stuff like Mass Effect or The Walking Dead.
i didn’t think this post through very much, But basically even if its not a “Game” in a typical sense I don’t think that devalues it or makes it worse. I don’t think gaming needs to have this fight over which sort of games games should be more like when there’s so many different tastes to cater to. Its like everyone wants what they think is good at the expense of what someone else might like.

One thing I don’t understand about call of duty.
Why does the Zombie mode always have actually interesting characters that say actually interesting things? Like I just watched the new Black Ops 3 zombies trailer and all the dialogue in that was genuinely interesting and felt well written and the characters seemed fun.
So why do campaign characters always seem so band and boring when they have the staff for them to not be that? Just my opinions of course, I’ve tried to like the campaigns but they keep falling flat on character to me.
