Like yeah the new MLP figures that have been announced are clearly directed towards the audience that likes stories about ponies in wars, or the heroes fighting villains and stuff, but the fact I’m hearing outcry about it is super silly.
All opinions about “bronies” aside, the idea that the “male audiance” (as if there arn’t any female fans that also want this sort of thing, but pretending only guys want it makes it easy to complain about) is somehow taking even more from young girls by the existence of these figures just doesn’t make much sense. There’s still dozens of play sets directed at young girls, pretty neutral funko and pop figures, and plenty of mlp toys that’s just a pony and a few accessories. Theres even fan stuff on welovefine and etsy that still match the tone of the show.
One line of more action-like mlp toys isn’t stealing anything from anyone. Hasbro is just taking the economic choice to make profit from too markets. The idea that this is taking anything away from anyone is ridiculous and the idea that any amount of giving the other audience stuff directed at them is bad is also ridiculous.
I thought people complaining about “bronies” was a pretty passe thing by now, but a new set of figures that some people think is a problem comes out.
Bam its all back.
Still upset we surrendered this. Me and Varus could have taken ‘em
I don’t really get people’s reaction about the new scooby doo comics. This world has like 20 versions of scooby doo, and most of them are roughly the same show done better or worse but with very few major changes. Its not like the world is at a loss for vanilla scooby doo content.
If one or two versions of Scooby Doo want to be something radically different than what the rest are then I welcome it.
